Which beach on the Sea of Azov to choose. Akhtazian Estuary is the only place in the region where artificially planted lotuses grow

The economic crisis and financial difficulties are no reason to refuse a summer vacation with a child at sea. Even if the family budget is not enough for a vacation in Turkey or Sochi, you can find a more economical and no less pleasant option.

One of these alternatives could be the coast. Sea of Azov. About where exactly to go so that the vacation is remembered for a long time, we will try to tell in this article.

Distinctive features of the Sea of Azov

If most of the Black Sea beaches are pebbly and rocky, then the Sea of Azov will meet with soft sand. This fact makes the Sea of Azov a desirable destination for trips with young children. The shores here are gentle, the descent into the water is almost everywhere smooth, which is also a plus for a beach holiday with kids.

The benefits of sea air for children are obvious. However, in the Sea of Azov, you can improve your health, not only by walking along the beach and taking sunbaths. Here are unique natural springs healing mud.

Interesting Facts about the Sea of Azov:

 • The sea got its name from the Arabic phrase "Bahr-el-Azov". Translated, it means "dark blue sea."
 • Of all the seas that wash Russia, this is the smallest and shallowest (the deepest point of the bottom is located 13 meters from the surface of the water). This is one of the few seas capable of winter time almost completely covered in ice.
 • In the summer, in the coastal zone, the water glows at night. This visual effect is given by blooming algae that live in the shallow waters of the Sea of Azov. If you're lucky, you can see real dolphins here, and freshwater pikes and crucians are found in the least salty areas.
 • The water in this sea has unique biochemical properties that make it very useful for a whole range of different diseases - from respiratory ailments to disorders of the nervous system.

Climate features: choose the time to travel

Unlike the subtropical climate that is characteristic of the Black Sea coast, the continental climate of temperate latitudes reigns in the Sea of Azov, which means that there are warm, long and dry summers, while winters are mild and short. It is theoretically possible to go on vacation to the Sea of Azov at any time of the year. In winter and autumn, this direction is popular with those who prefer inexpensive sightseeing holidays, wellness treatments in sanatoriums. The air temperature in the winter months averages 0 - + 6, sometimes there are frosts (up to - 15 degrees).

The swimming season in the Sea of Azov opens in mid-May. Due to the fact that the sea is shallow, the water warms up quickly, and in summer it is almost equal to the air temperature. For example, in June-July, the average daily air temperature is at the level of 27-30 degrees, while the water temperature is 26-28 degrees. The peak of the tourist influx is observed in July and August. The "velvet" season lasts from the beginning of September to the third decade of the month.

Hot weather in the middle of summer in Azov is not perceived as painful as on the Black Sea, but it should be remembered that solar radiation is more pronounced here, and therefore getting burned is easy. The winds that always blow over the Sea of Azov can also contribute to this, and they are quite strong.

If you have a trip with a small child under three years old, then it is better to relax in the Sea of Azov at the end of May and June. Here at this time it is still not so hot, the water in the sea is already perfectly warmed up. There are not yet a large number of tourists on the beaches, and the prices for everything, including accommodation and meals, are quite affordable.

In the summer season (July and August), vacation rates will increase, but will still remain affordable for most Russian families. Starting from September, housing, food begin to become cheaper. The “velvet” season is ideal for relaxing with kids: it’s not hot anymore, it’s not cold yet, the sun is warm, but not aggressive, the crowds of tourists have already subsided, and you can bask on the beach in peace and tranquility without too much fuss and expense.

The very place of bathing here should be chosen with caution - there are such areas on the beaches where, when going into the water, quite sharp stones of various sizes come across. The city embankment is very attractive; walking along it will bring great pleasure.

Peresyp

This resort village is called paradise Sea of Azov. It is located near the village of Golubitskaya, just nine kilometers away. The sea is warm, perfectly warmed up, the descent into the water is smooth, shallow.

Hotels and inns operate in the village, there are boarding houses offering medical services, but the main type of accommodation here, as in other settlements along the Sea of Azov, is private sector.

If you have not yet visited the coast of the Sea of Azov, you should definitely go there on vacation. After all, it is not for nothing that these places are very popular for vacationers from all over the territory of the post-Soviet space.

AT Yeysk I had been planning for exactly two years, as soon as I found out that not far from the city, my classmate had moved to the village of Staroshcherbinovskaya. Initially, it was planned to go to the Dolgaya Spit, a popular vacation spot among Rostovites and Taganrog residents. Then the plans included a voyage of three points: Azov - Yeysk - Dolzhanka. Last summer, this plan failed to materialize, we only went to Azov. In this year, 2016, it was decided to catch up. The trip was planned jointly with my girlfriend and her daughter. Initially, I wanted to go for 3-4 days, but since this is the only vacation for my girls, they wanted to go for longer and we decided to go for 5 days.
The route was as follows: "Yeisk - Dolzhanka - Staroshcherbinovskaya". Drive 248 kilometers, about 3.5 hours through Azov. On the way, we stood in a small traffic jam in front of Rostov due to road repairs. We left Taganrog at 9 am and arrived in Yeysk at about 1 pm.

We settled in an apartment, I booked it back in January through the Sutochno.ru website. The apartment fully met our expectations and the description on the Internet, especially pleased with its yard, where you could park the car.
After resting a little and having lunch, we went to the sea. First chosen to visit Children's beach on the spit from the side of the Yeysk estuary. He became our favourite. The beach is not wide, but there are few people there, the water is clean and calm, there are no waves, the entrance is gentle, the bottom is soft, without stones or other troubles.

The next day we decided to visit Central Beach . It is also located on the Yeisk Spit, but on the other side, from the Taganrog Bay. The beach is wide, clean, great amount entertainment, tents with food and drinks, there are enough bins, changing rooms, a left-luggage office, foot showers, rental of sunbeds and umbrellas - the beach is equipped no worse than any other beach in the Krasnodar Territory. But there are a huge number of people there. The pads line up one by one. It is not possible to take a picture of the beach without the presence of people in the photo.

The children and girlfriend longed for attractions, but I'm not a fan of such entertainment, and I was primarily interested in the Poddubny Museum and the monument to the famous wrestler.

But my opinion was in the minority and I had to give in to the majority, who rode several rides while I was photographing native species. The park is large, there are several fountains, all kinds of sculptural compositions, benches for relaxing, of course, many cafes and attractions for every taste, age and budget. Personally, I liked the rope town, I give it a solid 5.

We had to keep exploring the city. The next point of our program was the embankment and Kamenka beach.

Embankment of Yeysk fully equipped for vacationers, everything in order to “cut down as many cabbages as possible”: cafes, attractions, an aquarium, a dolphinarium, a crocodile farm, tents with souvenirs, ice cream, etc., etc., etc.

My children wanted to see crocodiles (400 rubles), my goddaughter had never been to a dolphinarium (600 rubles). We decided to go towards each other and visit both establishments. After a portion of entertainment and reduction of mother's wallets, we went to the beach.
Kamenka beach we didn't like it at all. There are stones in the sand, there are not many of them, but it is inconvenient, it is hard to enter the water, every now and then the foot hits a sharp stone, it becomes painful. The view of the port also does not add to the scenic beauty of the place. Having plunged, we packed our things and left for the beloved Children's Beach.

So three days flew by in Yeysk, and our program also included a trip to the Long Spit, a visit ethnographic museum"Kuban farm" and a long-awaited meeting with a friend of his youth. It was decided to refuse to visit the museum immediately - it was too hot. For me, this is the main disadvantage of summer trips to the sea: I cannot attend excursions at temperatures above 30 ° C, and without excursions I get bored, just lying on the beach - this is not for me.
The next step was to take a walk along the Yeisk Arbat in the morning - to buy souvenirs and gifts for the children of a classmate (she has three sons), and in the afternoon go to Dolzhanka.

Yeisk Arbat I liked it very much, I love pedestrian areas where you can just take a walk, eat ice cream, drink a cup of coffee, show yourself and look at people.

I liked Yeysk monuments: To Sergei Bondarchuk, Zakhary Chepegi, wonderful composition with Nonna Mordyukova.

While I was waiting in line to photograph the monument, I “admired” what other tourists were doing with it, I recalled our recent discussion on the blog about how you can and how not to take pictures with monuments.
After three days we went to Dolzhanskaya Spit. Well, about Dolzhanka, what can I say. I just didn’t like it, it’s not enough - shocked, disappointed, I don’t even know what epithets to choose for this place. Maybe it’s beautiful there in May, maybe someone likes ascetic steppe landscapes combined with the sea, but this is not in August and not for me and our whole company.
The village of Dolzhanskaya itself is very decent, well-groomed and makes only a positive impression. But as soon as we began to turn towards the coast, we were unpleasantly surprised - dry grass, bare trees with fallen leaves, twisted by wind and sun.

We chose the beach from the side of the Sea of Azov, and not the bay, next to the recreation center "Cossack Coast". Well, this beach is not for mothers with children who cannot swim, it is for sports, young people: immediately deep and very strong waves.

I have the following impression from the Dolgaya Spit: heat, dust and wind.

On the last day we went to visit Staroshcherbinovskaya. I will leave this part of the journey behind the scenes. I can only say that the meeting turned out to be wonderful, sincere and wonderful in every respect. We chatted, laughed, reminisced about our student years, shared stories about our lives, about what happened to us over the past 15 years. This meeting was the very "icing on the cake" that adorned the whole trip.

Yeysk, of course, is a developed, well-maintained resort in the Krasnodar Territory. If you are going for a beach holiday, then there you will find everything the same as in any resort village Black Sea coast. And even more, since in addition to beaches and beach activities, Yeysk can please with parks, an embankment, and all kinds of entertainment venues for any age. It is moderately developed and at the same time has a provincial charm. Quiet and calm - on the one hand, and bright and noisy - on the other.

But! but this trip once again showed me and proved that I am not a beach type person, well, I'm BORING. My maximum at sea is three days, I can't take it anymore. From this I conclude for myself that it’s easier to go with children once a week to the local Taganrog beaches, go to the suburbs to ponds, go to the water park than spend time and money traveling to the sea somewhere. Even if you make a choice in the direction of the Crimea, where at first glance you can combine a beach holiday and excursions, then in the heat I can’t go to the sights, this is beyond my physical capabilities.

In general, I say Yeysk - yes. This is a decent resort that is suitable for both a long visit for techs who travel from afar, and locals in order to spend a couple of weekends by the sea.

Outside the window is the month of January, snow is sweeping, ice and a terrible frost, in a word - a terrible winter. And so I want to quickly warm summer and relax with the whole family or with friends at sea. To make you feel a little warmer, let's talk about the 3 most amazing and popular beaches of the Sea of Azov, bring summer and mood a little closer!!!

I'll tell you a little about the Sea of Azov. This sea is considered the smallest in the world, the water in it warms up much faster and the swimming season begins much earlier than, for example, in the resort areas of the Black Sea. The shores of Azov are mostly sandy and flat, and the entrance to the water of the sea is gentle and long. Basically, holidays on Azov are chosen by families with children or people who do not like loud noise.

Top - 1 Yeysk

Yeysk beach is one of the largest resort towns on the Azov coast, which was founded at the end of the 19th century. It is located between Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar, in the northwest of the Krasnodar Territory.

There are both shell beaches and sandy, freshwater lakes and shallow seas. Resting here is a pleasure. There are many estuaries and spits, for example: in the city of Yeysk there is the Yeysk spit, in the village of Dolzhanskaya - Long spit, in the village of Kamyshevatskaya - the Kamyshevatskaya spit, a very beautiful sea coast near the village of Yasenskaya Crossing.

In Yeysk, most vacationers are families with children. For them, there are a lot of different entertainments and attractions on the coast. You will also be pleased with ripe fruit trees: apple trees, pears, apricots, cherries and many other equally tasty fruits.

Top - 2 Golubitskaya

The coast of Golubitskoe takes a solid second place in our top parade. On Azov, this beach is one of the most popular and promoted places. The beach is strewn with small shells and sand, the entrance to the sea is long and gentle.

There are dolphinariums, a crocodile farm, water parks, many different exhibitions are held, including exotic animals, in general, life is in full swing in Golubitsky. In addition to entertainment places for children, there are also places for adults to relax: night discos, bars and restaurants with kitchens different countries peace, billiards, tennis and bowling. Who loves therapeutic mud, welcome. Many tourists come here, both from all over Russia and from neighboring countries.

Top - 3 Dolzhanskaya

The Dolzhanskaya coast is located on the Dolgaya spit, 40 km. from resort town Yeisk. This is a unique vacation spot. The Dolgaya Spit is washed on one side by the Sea of Azov, on the other - by the Taganrog Bay. Every year the spit changes its shape and size, which is an amazing phenomenon. The long spit is included in the list of protected places in the Krasnodar Territory. It has an ecologically clean and mild climate.

It can also be called a resort town. This coast is chosen by surfers who are engaged in windsurfing in all its manifestations: hang-gliding and parachuting. Along the coast there are tent camps and recreation centers where you can ride trampolines and water slides, jet skis, bananas and plates.

This coast is different in that it is not as shallow as the rest, the depth starts a few meters from the coast. The entire spit is covered with shells, a layer of more than a meter. In fresh estuaries, you can take mud baths, which is good for health and for the skin.

Once on the Sea of Azov, one should not think that there is absolutely nothing to do there. There are many great beaches here. good resorts and stunning nature. However, a beach holiday can quickly get boring. And then you want to see something new, to explore the sights, both cultural and architectural. The benefit of interesting and beautiful places around the Sea of Azov is enough! Still, this place is steeped in history. People have lived in these parts since ancient times. The ancient Greeks once lived here. The Azov region has also become a field for numerous bloody battles of the past.

So what do we learn first?

Historical buildings, archeological monuments, numerous museums.
