An excerpt characterizing Potomsky, Vadim Vladimirovich

“However, everything suits you, my lovely,” she said.
A smile of pleasure never left Natasha's face. She felt happy and flourishing under the praises of this dear Countess Bezukhova, who had previously seemed to her such an impregnable and important lady, and who was now so kind to her. Natasha became cheerful and felt almost in love with this beautiful and such good-natured woman. Helen, for her part, sincerely admired Natasha and wanted to amuse her. Anatole asked her to set him up with Natasha, and for this she came to the Rostovs. The thought of bringing her brother together with Natasha amused her.
In spite of the fact that she had previously been annoyed with Natasha because she had taken Boris away from her in Petersburg, now she did not even think about it, and with all her heart, in her own way, wished Natasha well. Leaving the Rostovs, she withdrew her protegee aside.
- Yesterday my brother dined with me - we were dying of laughter - he does not eat anything and sighs for you, my charm. Il est fou, mais fou amoureux de vous, ma chere. [He's crazy, but he's crazy in love with you, my dear.]
Natasha blushed purple upon hearing these words.
- How blushing, how blushing, ma delicieuse! [my charm!] - Helen said. - You should definitely come. Si vous aimez quelqu "un, ma delicieuse, ce n" est pas une raison pour se cloitrer. Si meme vous etes promise, je suis sure que votre promis aurait desire que vous alliez dans le monde en son absence plutot que deperir d "ennui. [From the fact that you love someone, my lovely, you should not live as a nun. Even if you're a bride, I'm sure your fiancé would rather have you go out into the world in his absence than die of boredom.]
“So she knows that I am a bride, so she and her husband, with Pierre, with this fair Pierre, Natasha thought, talked and laughed about it. So it was nothing." And again, under the influence of Helen, what had previously seemed terrible seemed simple and natural. “And she is such a grande dame, [important lady,] so sweet and so evidently loves me with all her heart,” thought Natasha. And why not have fun? thought Natasha, looking at Helen with surprised, wide-open eyes.
Marya Dmitrievna returned to dinner, silent and serious, obviously having suffered a defeat at the old prince's. She was still too excited about the collision to be able to calmly tell the story. To the question of the count, she answered that everything was fine and that she would tell tomorrow. Learning about the visit of Countess Bezukhova and the invitation to the evening, Marya Dmitrievna said:
- I don’t like to hang out with Bezukhova and I won’t advise; Well, yes, if you promised, go, you’ll be scattered, ”she added, turning to Natasha.

Count Ilya Andreich took his girls to Countess Bezukhova. There were quite a lot of people at the evening. But the whole society was almost unfamiliar to Natasha. Count Ilya Andreich noted with displeasure that this whole society consisted mainly of men and women, known for their liberties of treatment. M lle Georges, surrounded by young people, stood in the corner of the living room. There were several Frenchmen, among them Metivier, who, since Helene's arrival, had been her housewife. Count Ilya Andreich made up his mind not to sit down at cards, not to leave his daughters, and to leave as soon as the performance of Georges was over.
Anatole was apparently at the door waiting for the Rostovs to enter. He immediately greeted the count, went up to Natasha and followed her. As soon as Natasha saw him, just as in the theater, a feeling of conceited pleasure that he liked her and fear from the absence of moral barriers between her and him seized her. Helen joyfully received Natasha and loudly admired her beauty and toilet. Shortly after their arrival, m lle Georges left the room to dress. In the living room they began to arrange chairs and sit down. Anatole moved a chair to Natasha and wanted to sit beside her, but the count, who did not take his eyes off Natasha, sat down beside her. Anatole sat in the back.
M lle Georges, with bare, dimpled, thick arms, in a red shawl worn over one shoulder, stepped into the empty space left for her between the chairs and stopped in an unnatural pose. An enthusiastic whisper was heard. M lle Georges looked sternly and gloomily at the audience and began to speak some verses in French, where it was about her criminal love for her son. In places she raised her voice, in places she whispered, solemnly raising her head, in places she stopped and wheezed, rolling her eyes.
- Adorable, divin, delicieux! [Amazing, divine, wonderful!] - was heard from all sides. Natasha looked at fat Georges, but heard nothing, saw nothing, and understood nothing of what was going on in front of her; she only felt completely irrevocable again in that strange, insane world, so far from the former, in that world in which it was impossible to know what was good, what was bad, what was rational and what was insane. Behind her sat Anatole, and she, feeling his closeness, fearfully waited for something.
After the first monologue, the whole society stood up and surrounded m lle Georges, expressing their delight to her.
- How good she is! Natasha said to her father, who, along with the others, got up and moved towards the actress through the crowd.
“I can’t find it, looking at you,” Anatole said, following Natasha. He said it at a time when she alone could hear him. - You are charming ... from the moment I saw you, I did not stop ....
“Let’s go, let’s go, Natasha,” said the count, returning for his daughter. - How good!
Natasha, without saying anything, went up to her father and looked at him with questioning surprised eyes.
After several receptions of recitation, m lle Georges left and the Countess Bezuhaya asked for company in the hall.
The count wanted to leave, but Helen begged not to spoil her impromptu ball. The Rostovs remained. Anatole invited Natasha to a waltz, and during the waltz, he, shaking her body and hand, told her that she was ravissante [charming] and that he loved her. During the ecossaise, which she again danced with Kuragin, when they were alone, Anatole did not say anything to her and only looked at her. Natasha was in doubt if she saw in a dream what he said to her during the waltz. At the end of the first figure, he again shook hands with her. Natasha looked up at him with frightened eyes, but such a self-confidently gentle expression was in his affectionate look and smile that she could not, looking at him, say what she had to tell him. She lowered her eyes.

The wife and children of the acting governor are due to arrive next weekend.
Potomsky himself announced this during the first press conference. Said he wanted house with playground and barbecue. That his household had already met Orel, walked around the city, went to the cinema in Grinn, and that he and his wife managed to discuss which school and kindergarten to send their children to.
By the way, experience married life 41-year-old Vadim Potomsky is 22. He married while still sophomore cadet shortly before his 19th birthday.
Some details of the private life of Potomsky OrelGrad found in the magazine "Bryansk theme". It is produced by a journalist and entrepreneur Natalia Timchenko with which we have known for a long time. When our interim tried to become the Bryansk governor, she published a long interview with him in her magazine, where she revealed "human image" Potomsky.
The directness of his answers is disarming.
Here is what our acting director then told Natalya Timchenko about Natalia Potomskaya.
— We met Natasha when her parents moved to Mary from Ashgabat and she came to our school. I was in ninth grade then, and she was in eighth grade. I liked the new girl right away. We became friends. And then I went to Leningrad ...
- But the friendship continued nonetheless?
- Distance did not become a hindrance. We wrote letters to each other. Two per day! We saved our correspondence and still sometimes look at it.
- When did you decide to get married?
- Natasha graduated from school with a silver medal and entered the Ashgabat Medical Institute, and I was in my second year at the school. Once my duty coincided with the duty of my father.
And so I plucked up courage, went into the rest room of the duty officer and blurted out from the threshold: “Dad, I want to get married!” And he immediately replied: “Marry!”
So on July 21, 1991, two weeks before my nineteenth birthday, Natasha and I became husband and wife. And Natasha was transferred to the Leningrad honey.
- Did her parents react so quickly and positively too?
- Let's start with the fact that they knew about our long friendship, they knew my family. Natasha's father, however, frightened her: “They will send her husband after school to Rybachy Island, where it is cold and hungry, then you will remember your parents' house!”
But Natasha was not a shy one.
- And as a married cadet, were you given indulgences, dismissal to your wife?
- Yes, then we had the opportunity to let the "married" go home to spend the night. Every day. I was a foreman and could not leave every evening, but still I spent most of the nights at home. Three years later, the eldest daughter was born. Natasha graduated from four courses and left the institute.
- Did you regret that your career as a doctor did not work out?
- She chose a family. Natasha is an excellent mother of three children, wife, hostess. I'm sure she would make an excellent doctor. The knowledge she received has helped and continues to help her in her life more than once. Our children grew up with common childhood illnesses, and she always knew how and with what to treat them. And today he talks with practicing doctors almost on an equal footing.

All assembled: the Potomsky couple, their children and their son-in-law

Natasha is always there and I am sure that she will support any of my undertakings. I always have the final word and it is never disputed. If not for Natasha, my life could have been very different. I would not have reached the heights in business and politics that I have conquered.
For me, the family is a solid foundation, my spiritual organization, which pushes me to exploits and restrains me from doing wrong things.
Every year I am convinced that I was very lucky with Natasha. She is exactly the woman I need.
The full interview can be read on the Bryansk Theme magazine website. There are many more interesting things.

The fact is that his friends knowingly introduced him to the peculiarities of life and life behind bars, which Vadim Potomsky once personally told the correspondent of the Rosbalt agency about. Here is what a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said about the stories of his acquaintances and about places not so remote:

“I have not been to prison. But, as they say, do not renounce the bag and the prison. I am 40 years old, and I can’t say that I have a lot, but I have friends who have been in places of deprivation of liberty. What they say is horrendous." As for the bag and the prison, the governor said quite rightly ...

Friends criminals

Now Vadim Potomsky is almost 45, but he still does not want to go to prison, although he does not forget his criminal friends. As soon as he appeared in Orel, he was photographed against the backdrop of the regional administration building with Sergei Antoshin, his close Bryansk colleague. Here is what one of the federal publications wrote about him in 2003: “34-year-old Antoshin worked for the FSB for a long time, then became the personal bodyguard of Governor Yuri Lodkin.

In January 2000, the governor appointed Antoshin the head of the information and analytical department of the regional administration. A criminal case against an official of the FSB of the Bryansk region was opened in November 2001. Chekist Antoshin, leaving the office of his friend, the "alcohol king" Oleg Rozanov, noticed the FSB outside at the gate. And then he handed over his colleagues to a businessman. And then the friends quarreled, Rozanov wrote a statement to Antoshin in law enforcement, and the FSB officers submitted to the court the wiretapping records of two former comrades, where the fact of disclosure of state secrets and betrayal was recorded. And Antoshin received four years in prison. True, he served only 13 months and is now a communist and a deputy of the Bryansk Regional Council.

Unlike United Russia, for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, a criminal past is not an obstacle to nomination for deputies. The current governor of the Oryol region, Vadim Potomsky, considers him one of the citizens "whose names and surnames I can name with honor and dignity." And as for criminality, so, a trifle ... “This is Antoshin Sergey Sergeevich,” Potomsky told reporters, “the man who was near me in this Bryansk campaign. A man of honor, not a coward. Yes, there were all kinds of stories, but that's life." For Vadim Potomsky, who likes to talk about officer honor, is the betrayal of comrades in the service a normal part of life?

Again about Yorsha

Other "all sorts of stories" unexpectedly surfaced when Vadim Potomsky invited Andrey Yersh, his classmate at the anti-aircraft missile school and, as it turned out later, the leader, to work as the head of the state institution of the Oryol region "Orelgoszakazchik". This institution is one of the most corrupt in the region.

Only on the line "Road Fund" planned to "master" 3 billion rubles. He failed - in the fall of 2014, operatives detained him right in his office and transferred him to the North. Announced at the end of January 2017 by the verdict of the Arkhangelsk Regional Court, Andrey Yorsh, who led an organized criminal group of current and former employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Arkhangelsk Region, was found guilty of "covering" underground gaming clubs and mediation in giving a bribe. The former police lieutenant colonel received a serious term - 9.5 years of strict regime.

And Governor Potomsky only complained: “Unfortunately, I will tell you objectively and honestly: I did not know about this story. If I had known about this story, Andrei would not have worked here ... This is my cadet, we studied together from the first year, when we were 16 years old, I was a foreman of the battery, he was a cadet of the second platoon ... He came to me. I invited him to work, no one imposed him on me ... Everyone who works for me in the government of the Oryol region was personally invited by me. Especially the level of deputies. Andrei worked in the police, in police structures, in the Economic Crime Department. in economic areas.

For reasons that the organization in which he worked, Oryolgoszakazchik, passes through it a colossal amount of budget money, I invited him as a specialist so that all these various left-wing options would not go anywhere. A story surfaced that... He didn't tell me. If he had called her to me, he said: “Sergeant, that’s what they called me, Vadim, there is such a story, such a skeleton in the closet, I would not take him to work.”

In fact, the argumentation of Vadim Potomsky in this case is designed for very gullible people. After all, this is far from the only personnel miscalculation of the governor of the Oryol region.

Mikhail Sokolovsky

Well, the most notable criminal associate of Vadim Potomsky, the person whom he repeatedly publicly called “his friend”, with whom he traveled to the Patriarch of Serbia and filmed for TV at the Russian-Slovenian business forum, was Mikhail Ivanovich Sokolovsky. This is the same citizen who, at a meeting of the Orel City Council, spoke about the monument to Ivan the Terrible, which costs 25 million rubles to erect. Recall that the money "for the monument" was collected, but, according to Vadim Potomsky, it cost several times less. Where did the difference in 20 million go? This could be answered by Sokolovsky, a man with three convictions, including for.

It all started in 2005, when Mikhail Ivanovich was the vice-governor of Koryakia. Then the court of the Tigilsky district of the Koryak Autonomous Okrug sentenced him to one and a half years in prison - for disrupting the heating season with abuse of office and the disappearance of money paid to a certain company for fuel. In May 2005, it turned out that Sokolovsky had previously worked for the recipient company. On July 21, 2005, the court sentenced him to three years in prison. And then a third conviction followed: in 2005, the Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow, Mikhail Sokolovsky, Potomsky's future friend, was sentenced to five years and eight months in prison in a strict regime colony for fraud on an especially large scale.

Where did the communist Potomsky get such a craving for criminal personalities? After all, there was also a certain Vladimir Makarchuk, who in 2014 was invited by Governor Potomsky to lead the regional state property department. But then it turned out that he was a fraudster with a fresh conviction and a fine of half a million rubles. Then, after the scandal with the sealing of the office, Vice Governor Mikhail Babkin, who was in charge of the economic bloc, quickly fled the region.

“Tell me who your friend is, and I will tell you who you are,” the proverb says. At the very beginning of the article, we noted that Gennady Zyuganov's henchman, Potomsky, really does not want to go to jail. And he does not want to forcibly leave the governor's seat. And he even protested against the fact that the question of trust or distrust is raised by the president, and not by the abstract "people."

In an interview posted on the website of the Leningrad regional branch of the Communist Party, he asked: “What should the governor do to lose confidence? And if the people elected him, then why does the President make the decision to lose confidence?” That's why he accepts, citizen Potomsky.

BUT latest news from Orel and completely amaze, the defendant in a high-profile criminal case, CEO Oryol Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending (AHML), 97.4% of whose shares are owned by the region, Sergey Kochergin, was also hired with a criminal record. The defendant openly stated that he came to this position at the invitation of the governor of the Oryol region.

In order not to be unfounded, we will cite a specific segment from the decision of the Oryol Regional Court dated November 9, 2016: “By a court verdict, Kochergin S.A. found guilty of committing a crime, under subsection. «in» h. 2 Article. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Assignment or embezzlement, that is, theft of another's property entrusted to the guilty, committed using one's official position”), with the imposition of a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 3 years suspended with a probationary period of 3 years.

As it turned out later, Mr. Kochergin had also previously been convicted in Orel, and the governor of the region simply could not have been unaware of this. We note this in case the official again insists that "I am not me and the house is not mine." After all, all sorts of negative information about the governor pops up every week. And there is no need to carry out a journalistic investigation in order to find out about all the pitfalls of the governor of the Oryol region. Only, after all, someone appointed the director of Sergei Kochergin. In addition, all companies that have ever been associated with the "director" won all tenders and received the most tidbits. Is it because, as it turned out later, Kochergin, previously convicted of embezzlement, liked Potomsky because of his ability to properly distribute financial flows?

But if Sergei Kochergin was previously convicted under Article 160 Part 2, now, as they say, he has upgraded and now he is charged with at least parts 3 and 4 of the same article. It turns out that the staff selected by the governor does not stop there. And in general, the Oryol region is a whole organism in which the distribution of budgetary funds takes place every day. The money is transferred to the regional leaders, according to the protocol of interrogation of the director of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Ritual and ritual services of the city of Orel, Ekaterina Sagittarius, in bundles or bags with alcohol.

But with the advent of the team called by Mr. Potomsky, more modern technologies. The same Mrs. Strelets noted in her testimony: “Sometimes we transferred the funds received from entrepreneurs to Mukhanov O.V. (trustee of the governor) by bank transfer. As far as I remember, part of the money was transferred ... to the card of Mukhanov's wife O.V. - Svetlana.

But Sergei Kochergin, apparently, was very angry with his “head” and at the same court session told reporters that Vadim Potomsky and the head of the Department were the ones who ordered the criminal prosecution against him state property and land relations Andrey Sinyagov. In addition, the defendant said that he provided the investigators with a number of evidence about the criminal activities of the government of the Oryol region. The strange thing is that there was no response from Vadim Potomsky. Perhaps the governor does not want to once again confirm his attitude to this criminal case.

And in fact, the same evidence began to slowly creep across the region. We are talking about printouts of withdrawals from a certain Sberbank Visa Classic card, as it turned out later, representatives of the investigation actually have this documentation. Yury Lebedkin, editor-in-chief of the Oryol newspaper Krasnaya stroka, notes: “As far as I heard,” Yuri Viktorovich said, “these printouts are indeed at the disposal of law enforcement agencies. A plastic card was issued to Sergey Kochergin's business partner Mikhail Timakov. When Kochergin headed AHML in Orel, Timakov became the general director of a well-known company - a counterpart of ASK Engineering. How the card issued to him got (and did it?) get to the trusted people of the governor, I can’t say: it’s up to the investigation to find out. And who personally paid with the card, for example, at the National in Moscow, I also do not know. But they say that the investigation already has a photo of one character ... "

We only add that the first one and a half million rubles to the Timakovo account, a copy of which is at the disposal of the editorial office, were received in August 2015. Coincidentally, it was at that time that Sergei Kochergin began to “settle down” in AHML. The next three million are credited in October and November. They withdrew money on different days and in different amounts from 100 to 147,479 rubles. In my opinion, this is usually done by those who received the amounts "dishonestly", thinking that they cover their tracks ...

There is nothing to hide here, each subordinate of Vadim Potomsky has his own function, to follow this or that cash flow and increase income accordingly. Big money was spinning in AHML, Sergey Kochergin was given the opportunity to attract “friendly” structures to him to carry out profitable contracts. If now the defendant had correctly used the resources, the administration of the region would have become much richer, and this, of course, Vadim Potomsky understood. For example, the governor called members of the Izborsk club to the region. To bring them, perhaps, to pay per diem, to accommodate, to drink - to feed - it's not cheap at all.

On January 16, 2016, Sergey Kochergin, as a social burden, suddenly became the chairman of the Oryol regional branch of the Izborsk club. And it seems that he paid for everything that was connected with its functioning. It can be assumed that not only from personal funds ... For example, almost a year ago a theatrical performance was released on the regional TV channel, this action took place in the office of Mr. Potomsky:

Vadim Potomsky: "Is Sergey Anatolyevich working normally?" Alexander Prokhanov: "Brilliant work!" Vadim Potomsky: "He is a business man." Alexander Prokhanov: “Brilliant, simply brilliant, Sergey Anatolyevich works!”

But the story of Vadim Potomsky does not end there either. On July 28, 2016, Kochergin, together with Potomsky, met with Patriarch Kirill! But a month later, the holy spirit disappeared, a criminal case was initiated against Sergei Kochergin, then he was charged and taken into custody. So spent on the reception public figures money, it seems, went sideways to Mr. Kochergin, and the Oryol branch of the club practically ceased to exist with his arrest. The question remains, why did Vadim Potomsky do this with his ward, a professional in the field of fraud. You have lost a valuable shot, Vadim Vladimirovich, for your team! Only now it is obvious that Mr. Kochergin opened a rather strong wound. Sooner or later, employees of the Prosecutor General's Office will pay attention to account statements.
