Immediately after the purchase - unlocked for 90 rubles. on ebay))) The router received the modem perfectly, but the speed of the kit was bad. At the dacha, we have poor signal reception, but the phone caught two sticks of 3G networks and I decided to check how this modem catches and plugged it into the laptop (in the interface of the ZyXEL Keenetic router, the signal reception level is not shown) .. It turned out that it was in the same places , where the phone caught normally - it does not catch almost at all! I moved the kit to the attic - everything worked amazingly! I tested the speed - earlier on the mobile download speed was about 1.4 Mb / s, now the modem gives out 1.8 Mb / s (I remind you again - this is 3G, Beeline operator). I tested 4G within the city limits .. though the signal level was only 1 stick, but it accelerated to almost 10 Mb / s (operator - MTS). Now he works at the dacha on weekends around the clock)) We are very pleased with him. We listen to online radio stations, watch videos on youtube (albeit in low resolution, of course), sometimes you have to climb through TeamViewer to other computers - everything pulls))) It was previously written here that it heats up a lot - in our copy there is no such flaw. After continuous use for 3 days - the temperature is slightly higher than human))) In general, quite a good device! Recommend!

I tried different options on / off the modem ports, I also flashed it, the result is the same everywhere - the modem is visible, but there is no Internet connection through the router. As a result, in native mode, on the native firmware of the modem, I made friends with the router through the OpenWRT firmware, without dancing with a tambourine. Unless, of course, you count the installation of the firmware itself and the connection of the necessary modules. It doesn't get hot. Who gets warm - most likely depends on the network, I have 3G HSPA + 15Mb / s in 3Mb / s ref, the load seems to be quite good.
