Products without rating were purchased in small quantities by the buyer and do not yet have a rating that would show impressions of the product.
  4. Before ordering and purchasing products on Aliexpress, you need to pay attention to the number and content of reviews about the product you like. Buyers often share their impressions of cooperation with sellers and other useful little things.
  5. On the product page, use the available options to select size, color, delivery method, quantity and other parameters for a specific product. Before purchasing, be sure to read the product specifications located at the bottom of the page in the tab "Product description".
  6. Next, to order a product on Aliexpress, you need to go back to the top of the page and click the button "Buy now" or "Add to Basket".   • “Order is being delivered” – the vehicle with your order has left for the address specified in the order.

  • “Order is ready for pickup” – you can come and pick up your order from a store or online store.

    All details necessary to receive the order are indicated in sms/e-mail.

  • “Order issued” – Thank you for your purchase! We are waiting for you again!
  • “Change of order, confirmation required” – there is a need to change the terms of the order and agree on them with you.

    In such situations, we always call you to agree on changes and offer solutions.

  • “The order was not issued to the client, clarification is required” - on the day of delivery the goods were not handed over to you and returned to the warehouse, wait for a call from our operator.

  • “Order canceled by customer” – we received a request from you and canceled the order.

  • "Order cancelled. The shelf life of the product has expired” – Your order was stored in the store until the specified date and no one picked it up.

    This status only applies to pickup orders. We store the order for up to 5 days from the date of notification of readiness for pickup, after which the order is cancelled. You receive an SMS/e-mail about the expiration of the storage period and cancellation of the order.

  • “Order canceled due to technical reasons” – a serious technical problem occurred.

    This happens very rarely and in such situations it is not always possible to understand when the problem will be solved. We honestly tell you about this so that you can make a decision: place an order later or order from another store.

Changing or canceling an order

After placing your order, you can contact us (not on the day of delivery) by calling the contact center and giving your order number:

  • change delivery time and address;
  • change the composition of the order;
  • cancel your order.

  • more than 4 units of goods with the same article number in the amount of 5,000 rubles and this product does not belong to accessories (products that belong to accessories are always located in the corresponding section of each product group on the website),

How to place an order without payment in the Aliexpress mobile application?

On the standard version of the Aliexpress website with placing an order without payment, everything is easy and intuitive. In the mobile application, the actions will be almost the same, only different at the last stage:

  1. Go to the desired product
  2. Select the desired product parameters (color, size, etc.)
  3. Next, click “Place an order”

After this, you will be redirected to the order payment page. In the upper left corner there will be an inscription “payment”.

Click on the word “payment” and a window will appear asking whether you want to cancel the payment or not. Click on cancel payment.

As a result, your order will be placed, but not paid. You can find it in the “My Profile” —-> “My Orders” section

How to place an order without payment on the Aliexpress website?

  1. Go to the page of the required order
  2. Click the “Buy Now” button
  3. Select the desired product parameters (color, size, configuration, etc.)
  4. Click the “Place an order” button

If you purchased gift certificates, the procedure for placing an order without payment will look different.

In the payment methods column, select "Other payment methods" and click on "Confirm and pay".

After this we are taken to the order payment page. There is no need to do this at this stage. Your item is already on the order list and has a number. Now you can write a message to the seller in the comments to the order. He will see exactly what product we are talking about.

For a long time, the most famous Chinese online platform TaoBao was focused on the domestic market - registration on the site was possible only for owners of a Chinese phone number, payment was made exclusively using a card issued by one of the banks in China, and sellers sent goods only within China.

That is why all buyers from the CIS who were wondering how to order from Taobao eventually came to the need to find an intermediary. The intermediary's services included the full order cycle - from assistance in choosing a product on the website, communicating with the seller about the size, ordering the product to its warehouse in China, inspecting the order for defects and further sending the product directly to the buyer. In this case, two intermediaries took part in the process - one was in China, paid for all orders with his card and received them from sellers at his address, and the second was in the same country as the buyer, accepted orders, and then sent the goods, or passed them on to customers.

This simple way to place an order on Taobao is still relevant today, since intermediaries not only buy and ship goods, but also check the goods for compliance, and also solve all sorts of problems if they arise - for example, returning low-quality goods to the seller, resolve issues with customs and so on. The cost of intermediary services is usually 10-15% of the order amount excluding delivery, which, you see, is not much for your participation in the order only at the stage of selecting and receiving the goods.

On the website of each intermediary company there are instructions on Taobao, explaining exactly how to place an order in their case - either fill out a form, indicating on it links to the desired products, as well as the required colors, sizes and quantities, or select the product on their website, adapted for a Russian-speaking audience.

Since the beginning of 2014, TaoBao has slightly changed its policy and now a buyer from any country in the world can register on the site - you must enter your mobile number as a phone number - you will receive a message with an account activation code on the site.

Payment is made by Visa and MasterCard. As for delivery, Taobao has introduced a new service - forwarding international shipments. Simply put, Alibaba, the official owner of the Taobao website, has created its own warehouse in China, which receives parcels from sellers, and from which company employees send parcels to buyers abroad. The cost of forwarding services is 18 yuan for the first kilogram and 3 yuan for every additional 500 grams (excluding the cost of international delivery). Thus, ordering from Taobao yourself is no longer a myth, but a completely tangible reality. Of course, at this stage this process is not yet fully debugged; sometimes during the ordering process the forwarding button does not appear, and the order is placed as usual.

It is also unclear how things work with refunds for defective goods - the money is received by the seller on the 9th day after payment - taking into account local delivery in China, which usually fits within this number of days. However, the very fact of such changes in the site’s policy gives hope that soon the question of how to order from Taobao to Russia without intermediaries will be closed.

Let's look at how to order a product on Taobao, how to find the product you need, select it, and how to communicate with the seller on Taobao.

Taobao instructions.

Before you order things from Taobao, you need to register on the site. Registration will allow you not only to communicate with sellers, but also to see the entire range of goods presented on the site - the fact is that some stores can only be seen by registered users, while in others, without registration, only a few pages open and further viewing requires entering a password. At the moment, registration on Taobao is open to users from any country in the world and takes no more than 10 minutes. For convenience, we will use in this article screenshots from the version of the Taobao website, translated into English using the built-in translator of the Google Chrome browser.

1. Go to Taobao website and click the button Register Free (Register for free), located in the upper left corner of the page.

2. In the window that opens, select the country you are in, enter your mobile phone number and the code from the picture confirming that you are a person and not a bot, and click the button Next. Please note that the phone number must be valid, as it will receive a registration confirmation code on the site.


3. Next, in the window that opens, enter the code that was sent to you at the phone number specified during registration. Please note that if the code is not entered within 15 minutes, the registration will be cancelled.


4. In the new window, enter your account information - username and password 2 times. Please note that the username will be used as a login on the site, and the password must be strong enough - contain both letters and numbers in different cases.

6 . In the window that opens, select Overseas(overseas lands), your city, address, zip code, recipient's name, mobile number. If you would like to use this address as your primary delivery address, please check the box. Set as default shipping address (Set as primary delivery address). Double-check all entered information and click the button Save.

You can enter a maximum of 20 delivery addresses per account.

You can search for the product you need on Taobao in several ways:
  • by categories located on the left side of the main page of the site;
  • by entering the product name in the search bar (you can enter it in English, but this will significantly reduce the relevance of the result, so it is better to use Google Translate and translate your query into Chinese).


You can also select only products with free shipping ( Free shipping), goods delivered outside of China ( Overseas Goods), popular goods ( Popularity), products from the Sale category ( Sales), sort products by ascending and descending prices (with and without delivery) and set the required price range.


Having selected the product you like, go to its description page.


Here we see the following information about the product:

  • 1 – photos of the product from different angles;
  • 2 - Product Name;
  • 3 – the price of the product in Chinese yuan (in this case, the discounted price is also indicated);
  • 4 – the number of reviews from previous customers;
  • 5 – quantity of goods sold over the last 30 days. When you hover over a number, the total number of sales of this product and how many of these sales were successful;
  • 6 – delivery information – here you need to select Overseas (overseas countries) from the drop-down list. The cost of delivery within China is also indicated here, if it is charged separately.
  • 7 – options for selecting product characteristics (in this case, color);
  • 8 – quantity of ordered goods (editable) and quantity of goods in stock;
  • 9 – add item to cart button and quick purchase button Buy now
  • 10 – general information about the product – the possibility of returning within 7 days from the date of purchase, information about the seller donating part of the money received for the product, payment methods;
  • 11 – button to add a product to the wishlist;
  • 12 – button to add a product to the comparison list.

Below on the page there is a full description of the product with photographs, reviews from past customers, the total number of sales, as well as more detailed information about the terms of dispatch and return of the product.

Read the product description carefully - the picture may not correspond to what is actually being sold. Also, be careful when choosing your clothing size - do not forget that Chinese sizes are 1-2 smaller than Russian ones. If you have any doubts or questions about the product, please contact the seller. This can be done in several ways:

Through the built-in chat - the icon is located on the product description page in the section about the seller near the word Contact. Click on the yellow field with the hieroglyph and a chat window will open in front of you. The program does not require installation, but it does not save chat history, and you will not see the seller's response if the chat window is closed.

Using the WangWang program - you need to download it from the main page of the site. The program adds an icon to the tray that blinks when you receive a new message, saves your correspondence history, and also has a permanent contact list. The program itself is entirely in Chinese. Using this same program, you can resolve issues with the delivery of goods to a forwarding warehouse, if any arise.

How to place an order on Taobao.

Select parameters (color) and quantity of goods and click the button Buy Now.

Next you will be taken to the cart, where all the information about the ordered product is indicated:

  • 1 – name of the store on Taobao where the order was made;
  • 2 – name and parameters of the selected product;
  • 3 – original price of the product;
  • 4 – quantity of goods ordered;
  • 5 – information about a promotion or discount;
  • 6 – new price for the product;
  • 7 – field where you can leave a message to the seller (for example, ask him to pack the goods more carefully);
  • 8 – cost and choice of delivery type within China;
  • 9 – time within which the seller undertakes to send the goods;
  • 10 – final cost of goods including delivery;
  • 11 – general information – final cost and delivery address.
At this stage, a checkbox should appear at the very top of the page under your address to forward the order to the forwarding warehouse provided by Taobao. Apparently, this functionality has not yet been debugged, since we were not able to get a page with the required result.

When you click on this button, a list of forwarding companies should appear that provide the ability to reship the order to your address. Choose one of them after reading the reviews in the far right column.


At this stage, double-check the shipping cost - it should be either Free or not very high (should not exceed the cost of the product itself, such as the fee for shipping abroad. Remember that the seller sends the goods across China to the forwarding warehouse, i.e. at this domestic shipping fee applies).

Double-check all the information on the page and click the button Confirm Order(Confirm the order).

If the system asks, log in to AliPay. Next, pay for your order using a Visa or Master Card. The system will charge a 3% commission for card payments.


Confirm the payment and you will receive a message similar to this, informing you that the order has been successfully completed:

As soon as the ordered product arrives at the Taobao warehouse in China, you will receive an SMS notification. Items can be stored in the warehouse for free for up to 20 days - this is convenient if you place several orders from different sellers and wait until they all arrive at the warehouse in order to send them in one parcel and save on postage. When all your orders arrive at the warehouse, go to the order list on Taobao ( My TaoBao -> BuyBaby) and click the green button under the price of any product to send the package to your country.


Click on the blue button next to the product to combine all orders into one package. Please note that only orders marked with the symbol can be combined 已入库 (In stock).


Having combined all the goods you need, you will see a window with the weight of the parcel and the total amount for delivery.

Click on the orange button Combined orders(Combined Order) to ship the order to your country. The usual order window will open in front of you. Please note that the address must be your home address.

After the registration process on Aliexpress is completed and your account is confirmed, you should fill in your delivery address in your profile.

It is quite difficult for a beginner to immediately navigate the choice of goods to purchase on Aliexpress. Let's start with a list of suggestions. There are a great many of them, and therefore sorting is an urgent need. We choose free delivery to Russia, then we cut off wholesalers (if, of course, you need the product at retail)

Once a product has been selected, all that remains is to add it to the cart, pay and order. There is another small but important nuance here: the choice of color. Proceed to payment by clicking “Play Now”. Entering card details is not difficult. After confirmation of payment - wait. It may take 24 hours. Don’t worry if the money has been written off, but your order is still listed as unpaid.

How to track a parcel from Aliexpress

First, the seller must process the order, pack it and send it out. After the allotted time (and most often even earlier), you receive a notification and a tracking number in order to track the parcel. The timer starts counting down the Delivery Time days.


A lot of time passes before the parcel reaches Russia. But a week before the deadline, Aliexpress will send a notification that you must either receive the parcel or open a dispute. This point is important, and that is why it is imperative to provide a real email address and verify it.


If the deadline expires and there is no parcel yet, the order protection period must be extended by you. To do this, in your personal account, click Request to Extend Delivery Date and write to the seller: Prolong delivery time, please. Most often it is extended to two weeks. If after the expiration of the deadline the parcel is still missing, we write again.


If you haven’t received your parcel and the deadline has long expired, open a dispute.

What is a dispute on Aliexpress?

This is neither more nor less – a solution to a controversial situation. The dispute opens:


  • BEFORE the expiration of the protection period, if the parcel has not arrived.

  • When receiving another product.

  • Upon receipt of a low-quality product.
