I decided to make soap solely because I had a LOT of baby soap and oils.
I don’t have time to use them for hair, especially essential ones, so it was decided to try. I can’t order a normal soap base, and the composition of purchased soap bases, to put it mildly, does not suit me.
What is remarkable, if you do not use this soap as a base, and do not boil anything from it, it dries the skin very much. It lathers and foams very well, but it is impossible to use it without a cream. But the soap is for children, the child will not use hand cream.
So I digest it and add ingredients that moisturize and nourish the skin.
Soap is really odorless, non-allergic. In the soap dish it does not get wet at all, after you wet it, it dries instantly. Always looks presentable.
It is not as beautiful and perfect as soap base, but it suits me and my family. It does not contain dyes, flavors and even a car of chemistry.

I only use hand soap! I don't wash my face with it, I don't wash my body. For this, there are other, specially designed tools. Although this can also be done, depending on the type of soap.

Soap made from baby soap has a slightly older shelf life. More than a month. If you add milk while boiling, then boil it previously need! Otherwise, the soap will get moldy. Soap must be well dried and packed in cling film. It is better not to store in the bathroom due to humidity.
If you add oatmeal, coffee, clay and other additives, then it is better to add no more than 1 tsp, I add half. Otherwise, the soap will not lather well.
I buy only Agu soap for "soap making", because the soap from Neva cosmetics does not foam well, does not lather well and it still has a smell.
Everything that you will use when making soap (pots, spoons, grater, etc.) should be exclusively for this purpose. Honestly, I don’t understand people who first boil soap, and then soup, or rub carrots on this grater.
All proportions are calculated for 100 grams of soap.
Cooking :
Soap rub on the smallest grater.

Put a small saucepan in a water bath and pour soap shavings into it.

Add
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp base oil (linseed, coconut, olive; or butters - cocoa, shea - only you need to melt it first). Oils do not need to be added a lot, more is not better!
- 1 tsp castor oil - it adds "soapiness";
- 120 ml of hot water, milk powder diluted with water, boiled milk, herbal decoction. I put water in the microwave and heat it up.
Gradually pour the liquid into the bulk, while stirring constantly. The fire must be small. The mass should not boil, bubble.
- 1 tsp any baby cream.
- filler (coffee, oatmeal, herbs) 0.5 tsp
- essential oils 5 drops
- Vitamin E liquid 5 drops.
At the exit, you should get a "dough" like on pancakes. If too thick, then add a little vodka. If you add water or a decoction of herbs, then the soap will dry longer.
The alcohol will evaporate and there will be no trace left.
It takes 20 to 30 minutes for the soap to melt.
Next, you need to pour the mass into the molds. I almost always use silicone molds, they do not need to be lubricated and soap is easy to get. If you want to use plastic molds, then you need to sprinkle a clean mold with alcohol, anoint a little with vegetable oil, and then pour soap.

After the soap is poured (everything must be done VERY quickly, the mass hardens quickly), air bubbles appear on the surface. It is necessary to sprinkle again with alcohol for their disappearance. Ready soap should be put in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.

I never put in the freezer. I leave the soap to dry for a week, sometimes a week and a half.
After that, I wrap it in cling film.
If a week or two has passed, and the soap has NOT dried, you need to wait, otherwise it will become moldy.

It is well used and stored, not soaked, soap will only be if it lies neatly in a soap dish, water does not constantly drip from above / from the side (if the soap is on the bathroom, for example, without soap without a soap dish). In this case, it will not only delaminate and fall apart, it is unhygienic, sloppy and disgusting.

My daughter and I use one bar of soap for about three weeks. And this is considering that we wash our hands very often. It is gently washed off, and a small piece remains.

If you want a completely waste-free production, then from the remaining remnants you can weld liquid soap.
If something did not work out when cooking soap, then the base and the finished soap can be digested.
What not to do:
* add beetroot juice. The soap will look dirty;
* pour a lot of fillers and pour a lot of base oils;
* mix essential oils;
* if you add coffee, it is better to choose finely ground coffee and without additional flavorings;
- do not replace water / milk / herbal decoction with brewed coffee infusion;
There are a huge number of recipes on the Internet, so if you have the time, then make your own soap.

In the first weeks of life, a newborn should be washed without the use of various cosmetics. The baby is simply bathed in clean boiled water. After the second or third week, a special baby soap can be used for the child. Pediatricians recommend choosing a liquid one, as it does not dry the skin. In any case, the product must be safe and hypoallergenic without fragrances, fragrances and other harmful chemicals. Let's figure out which baby soap to choose for newborns.

What soap to use for a newborn

The main criterion when choosing any cosmetic product for a newborn is the safety of the product. Start with a neutral antibacterial liquid soap or cream soap made with a natural base without allergenic additives. Glycerin is safe for babies, as glycerin gently moisturizes the skin, protects against the negative effects of heat and cold, from the appearance of dryness and flaking. As a result, baby's skin becomes soft and protected.

To determine what kind of soap to wash a newborn, you need to consider the types of products. Today, manufacturers offer the following types of soap:

  • Liquid soap has a balanced composition and is perfect for babies in the first months of life. This tool does not dry the skin, does not cause irritation, acts very gently and delicately, so it will not harm the baby's skin. Liquid soap can be used every day without harm to the child;
  • Cream soap contains glycerin and lanolin. These are safe components that soften the skin, relieve inflammation and effectively resist bacteria. Cream soap is perfect for. But sometimes it may contain flavors and fragrances, so check the composition carefully before buying;
  • Hard soap dries the skin, but it creates a dense protective layer. Such a remedy is chosen for a child older than a month and is used no more than once a week. In addition, baby bar soap is great for washing hands throughout the day, as well as for washing clothes and baby bedding. This tool creates a strong strong foam. It has a more gentle composition and is more adapted to children's skin, less likely to cause an allergic reaction in infants than;
  • Soaps with various additives, such as chamomile, sage, fir, plantain and other natural extracts, should be used with caution. Some components, especially aloe, citrus and pine needles, can cause allergies in a child. However, if the baby does not have a negative reaction, such remedies will be very useful. They soothe, heal wounds and relieve itching, reduce swelling, sweating and diaper rash.

Before buying, carefully study the composition of the product. Soap with additives is best used after two to three months, when the baby's skin is more adaptable to new conditions. The safest are chamomile and string, calendula, celandine, eucalyptus and sage. Means with the addition of needles or honey are used for children older than 5-6 months. And it is better to refuse a citrus soap in general.

You can not wash a child and wash children's things with laundry soap! The high content of alkali in the composition of this product is very irritating to the skin. As a result, the child develops an allergy to laundry soap. But it is perfect for washing and disinfecting a baby bath. How to properly wash a bath for a newborn, read.

Choose by age

✔︎ Up to a year. Soap is not recommended for bathing babies. Only special foams and gels for this age - with a minimum of detergent components, without fragrances, dyes and other allergens.

✔︎ One to three years. Suitable cream soap with a large number of caring ingredients, oils and herbal extracts. It should have a neutral Ph (from 7 to 10) and contain almost no fragrances and dyes.

✔︎ Ages 3 and up. You can use soap with safe dyes, in bright packaging, in the form of toys - this helps to teach the child about hygiene. But it is better to buy it in pharmacies or company stores.

Checking

✔︎ Packaging. It is important that it be clean, unburned, without greasy stains. Be sure to check the expiration date, it's important.

✔︎ Smell. It should be neutral, “soapy”, or smell like the fragrance indicated on the label - chamomile, calendula, etc. A rancid smell is unacceptable.

✔︎ Structure. A good soap is firm to the touch, uniform in texture, free of cracks, oily stains, and sticky residue.

✔︎ Stamp. On a piece of high-quality soap, the manufacturer's seal is clearly readable.

How to wash your hands properly

Rospotrebnadzor experts advise in public places to learn how to wash hands the way professional bacteriologists do, in three stages. First you need to lather your hands and wash off the foam with water. Then lather your hands again and, if the faucet is not touch-sensitive, lather the valves or the mixer handle. Wash off the soap with water. Then lather your hands a third time, rinse off the foam and close the already clean faucet.

Soap does not kill bacteria!

We bathe the baby without soap

You can and should alternate "soapy" baths with healing herbal ones.

1 When choosing herbs for a bath, you should consult a pediatrician. Also, consider the medicinal properties of herbs. For example, plantain perfectly heals minor scratches, chamomile relieves irritation on the skin, aloe has anti-inflammatory properties, lavender will help the baby calm down and fall asleep faster, a string saves with allergies. It is better to use ready-made herbal preparations purchased at a pharmacy.

2 Before bathing a child, test the infusion for allergies. Soak a cotton swab in it and wipe a small area of \u200b\u200bthe baby's skin in the elbow area. If during the day, then this decoction is not suitable for bathing.

3 You need to brew the grass at least an hour before bathing. The decoction must be infused. Be sure to find the recommended proportions on the herb packaging. Usually water infusions are prepared in a ratio of 1:10. For the first bath, it is better to brew one herb, then add a second one after a couple of days, etc. But it is not recommended to use more than four herbs at once.

4 When bathing, be careful not to get water drops in your baby's mouth. You need to start bathing from 5–7 minutes, gradually bringing it up to 15–20 minutes at a water temperature of 35–37 degrees. After bathing, do not rinse the baby with water, but simply blot the skin with a diaper, given that some herbs can leave stubborn stains on the fabric.

5 To wash your hair, use special herbs that strengthen your hair. For example, burdock. Its root is especially useful for hair. Such a decoction makes the hair thick, gives it shine, strengthens curls and curls. It is necessary to brew 20 g of crushed burdock root in a glass of boiling water. Infuse for 30 minutes, cool and strain.

TOP-4: the best baby soap according to Roskachestvo

What else but a gentle soap can cheer you up and relieve tension while taking a hot bath? Everyone chooses for himself the best soap option, with or without smell, with microgranules or, conversely, gentle on the skin.

Three decades ago, housewives, for no reason, brewed laundry soap themselves, although it cost a penny in the store. Today, soap making is a whole kind of creativity that is gaining more and more popularity in various countries, and not only among women. Since soap making is not just an interesting process, but also a special magic that you perform on individual ingredients, getting completely different products. And which ones - it all depends on your ingenuity, desire and capabilities. After all, buying ready-made soap is easier, even cheaper, but doing it yourself is much more pleasant, especially since you will definitely select the composition of your soap and will not worry that someone from your family will be allergic to it. Yes, and it is much more pleasant to look at a bar of soap in a soap dish, which has a nice shape and color that you gave it. A few pieces of homemade soap can be beautifully decorated and presented as a present for some holiday to friends or relatives. At the same time, you can be absolutely sure that they will be satisfied with the present. And for new moms, making soap at home is a way to make bathing a baby calm and fun with an interesting bar of soap. Animals or fruits will distract the child from the thought that his eyes will pinch, and will help teach him to take water procedures with pleasure.

Handmade soap can be made in two different ways, each of which is good and profitable in its own way.

1 way:

You will need:

Unscented baby soap , which can be bought very cheaply and can be bought at any pharmacy.

Oils which you will use as a base. An important requirement for them is the absence of a clearly present and cloying smell (for example, sea buckthorn, almond, chamomile). You can actually find them in all pharmacies.

Essential oils . Which ones, you decide, since there are now a large number of them on sale.

- Drinking water or herbal teas.

Filler , of course, if you want to make an unusual soap (dried flower petals, coffee grounds, dried leaves, zest, etc.).

Steam bath utensils .

Soap molds (do not take glass ones). They are sold in a wide variety of shapes and materials. You can use for these purposes children's molds, soap dishes, boxes, in general, everything that has an interesting shape or surface.

Baby soap should first be placed in a warm place to limit yourself from soap dust, which causes constant sneezing. Then, the soap is rubbed on a regular grater and combined with a teaspoon of glycerin and 2-3 tablespoons of base oils, which are slightly warmed up. This whole mixture is heated on a steam bath, stirring gently and adding a small amount of heated water or herbal decoction - so the soap melts faster. When the thick becomes like a thick dough, add 10-12 drops of essential oil, but no more! Since, seemingly at the beginning, a slight smell, after the soap hardens, it can become sharp and cloying. Many people are afraid to make soap from baby shavings, as it may result in an unexpected smell, but if you buy unscented baby soap, you can not be afraid of wasted time and money. After adding oils, you can add food coloring, honey, a small amount of milk, just don't get carried away.

If you decide to make soap with a peeling effect, then now is the time to add the filler (oatmeal, coffee, clay, berry seeds, whatever you want, after which the whole mixture is thoroughly mixed and poured into molds prepared in advance. And , all you have to do is wait a few hours and pack it in a regular cling film.

Second way differs only in that instead of grated baby soap, a ready-made soap base is used, which can be bought in special markets. It can have a color or be transparent, of various manufacturers and volumes, the most important thing is that the base should not have its own catchy smell. The soap base, according to its characteristics, is no more dangerous than baby soap and it will not cause harm to health, but there will be much less worries with it, and there are several hundred or even thousands of times more variations in the colors and appearance of the soap. Such a base will cost more than baby soap, but its advantages when used in soap making are worth these funds. So, gradually, again and again trying yourself in this entertaining craft, you will learn how to make original soap, which will surprise both your family and friends. Hand-brewed soap is now especially appreciated because of its environmental friendliness and the fact that you can order or make soap that will not only help you maintain personal hygiene, but also please the eye. Because of this, most soap makers, whose art and professionalism have gone far beyond the interesting pastime of leisure, have developed their hobby into a permanent source of income, as a result of which the process of making soap has become more complicated. Specialists brew soap from scratch, that is, not using semi-finished products in the form of a ready-made base or soap chips, but by crushing the initial masses of fats, caustic and soda ash. Beginners should not engage in such a complicated cooking method, and soda ash will cause serious damage to the skin or mucous membranes if you overdo it with the dosage of this substance. Therefore, it is worth refraining from such experiments, but it is better to be guided by the principle - the simpler is better. Believe me, the results will pleasantly surprise even you!

Interesting shapes in the form of berries, animals, flowers and even cakes, soft colors, unique smells and unforgettable sensations - this is what will make the life of your loved ones more pleasant and unusual. And this is happiness for any woman.
