“If a graduate is a gold medalist, he has a certificate of secondary or vocational education with honors, then 3 more points are added to the total number of his points,” explained the deputy executive secretary of the BelSU admissions committee Tatiana Belenko. “If he presents a diploma of the winner or prize-winner of the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren, interregional multi-subject Olympiad, school Olympiads held at our university, he will also receive an additional 3 points.”
If an applicant is a champion or medalist of the Olympic Games, World Championships, Europe, or simply a gold medalist of the GTO, then this will bring him only 1 point. But if he is a master of sports - 3.

The creative component of the university is also manifested in the assessment of the individual achievements of its applicants.

3 points will be awarded to excellent students who graduated from high school and secondary vocational institutions. Applicants involved in volunteering will receive 2 points. The winners of sports competitions from the Olympics to the European Championships have 2 points, and the gold medalist of the GTO has 1 point.

The highest possible number of points for individual achievements - 10 - at the university will be given to masters of sports, 5 points - to candidates for master, and the same number to holders of a school certificate with honors. The educational institution takes into account not only the gold, but also the silver TRP badge - 1 point is added for them.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on the procedure for admission to higher education educational programs for the 2015/16 academic year, the National Research University "BelSU" approved new rules for admitting applicants.
One of the changes approved by the new rules was the procedure for taking into account the individual achievements of applicants. Thus, additional points for individual achievements confirmed by relevant documents will be added to the amount of competitive points:
- By 3 points Prize-winners of international competitions and Olympic Games and graduates who received a diploma with honors will additionally receive
- 2 points will be added to the winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren and the Olympiad held by the National Research University "BelSU"
- from 1 to 10 points will be awarded for the final essay in graduating classes.
The minimum number of points confirming successful completion of the entrance test for admission to undergraduate and specialist educational programs for the 2015/2016 academic year is published on the university website.
Applicants should pay special attention to the new procedure for admission to the university. Starting next year, the concept of “Recommended for admission” disappears and two main stages of admission according to a general competition are distinguished. At the first stage, all persons who submitted original educational documents are enrolled until 80% of the competitive places are filled. The second stage is “reserve” for applicants. At the second stage, there are at least 20% of vacant places that must be filled by providing original educational documents. Those who do not make it, even with higher scores than those enrolled in the first stage, will not be enrolled. Thus, when trying to enroll in several universities at once, you need to be prompt in submitting the original document to the place where you passed the competition.

For those who love action, there are plenty of activities here: student council, volunteering, media, sports, etc. There are really a lot of student associations, and if you don’t want to spend the bright years of your life at the computer and taking notes, then there is simply unrealistic scope for activity for you.
Regarding housing and infrastructure: there are 7 dorms, soon there will be 9, but there won’t be enough places for everyone, priority is given to distant regions. We rent an apartment for three for 12 thousand. It doesn’t turn out to be very stressful. In the canteen in the building on Studencheskaya you can eat normally for up to 100 rubles, in the building on Pobeda, of course, the prices are much higher, but the interior of the canteen is much cooler.
I like to go to the pool; sections are free for students. There are also many types of sports. The only thing is that the schedule of sections is not always convenient, but even if you don’t have time for a section, then the price for a pool or gym is 30-50 rubles, for Belgorod this is completely free.
In short, if you are considering Belgorod for admission, then pay attention to BelSU. By the way, there will be no problems with work (again, if you don’t sit in one place and wait for a kind uncle to offer you a job), here you can agree on a free visit and not go to classes to work, or personally with teachers talk, then bring your essay or problems for testing, and you will be graded normally. It’s more difficult with exams, but learning 50 tickets, especially if you work in your specialty and have something to tell, is bullshit. Of course, the salary is not always encouraging, but everything worked out for me :)
