Why is this device needed?
As a rule, an FM transmitter is used in cars that are not equipped with a device for playing digital audio, the owner of which does not want to change the radio for some reason. Since all cars are equipped with a radio, it is possible to play digital audio on some external device and then transmit it on the FM broadcast frequency.
This idea served as the basis for the creation of this class of devices.

DESIGN FEATURES
The layout of the Ritmix FMT-A750 FM transmitter is standard for this class of devices: on the cigarette lighter socket there is a case with control buttons, a display and slots for memory cards (up to 16 GB).
The display of the FMT-A750 is LED with large numbers showing the frequency at which the transmitter operates. When you switch a track, its number is briefly displayed on the display.
The control buttons are located on the front panel. There are only four of them, and they serve to switch the transmission channel, change the track and turn playback on and off. The kit also comes with a remote control.
The kit comes with a small cable (mini-jack - mini-jack) for line output. The line output itself is located on the right side of the device. Apart from it, there are no other connectors or controls on this side of the case, and the connector will not interfere with anything.
TEST RESULTS
When the device is turned on, playback of the recording from the memory card starts immediately.
The buttons on the device control only basic functions; The buttons are small and closely spaced, so using them is not very convenient. This is offset by the remote control, which also provides more functionality for user interaction with the Ritmix FMT-A750.
From the remote control, you can quickly set the track, turn on the beginning of the recording or adjust the playback volume, call one of the eight equalizer presets.
Regions with an incomplete broadcasting grid, where it is not difficult to find a free frequency, the signal of the Ritmix FMT-A750 FM transmitter is stable and does not cause complaints. In the Moscow region, where it is often necessary to “clog” an on-air station, you need to select a channel with the least competition.
In the playback mode of digital files, when turned off, the device remembers the number of the track being played, but does not remember the position in the track. For listening to music, this is not of fundamental importance, but in the case of audio books, especially with large fragments, it can cause inconvenience. We have not figured out how to navigate through folders, so we recommend that you place records in one folder when using this FM transmitter.

DESIGN FEATURES
In terms of functionality, the Ritmix FMT-A765 FM transmitter is similar to the younger model, but due to the larger pixel display, it is much easier to use the device.
Since there is no description of the display in the instructions, we will pay close attention to it. It is a liquid crystal with white and blue backlight, and a large amount of information is displayed on it.
On the very top line, first there is an icon for the presence of a memory card in the device (this is mainly true for SD cards that go flush into the device). Next comes the countdown timer for the current track. Then a group of icons for device operation modes. We did not fully understand them and were able to confidently identify only two of the four: the record playback mode icon (cyclic or linear) and the equalizer operation mode. If the second one can be changed from the remote control, then how to change the playback mode is not clear. The last display in the row is the frequency at which the FM transmitter is operating.
On the bottom line, the name of the track being played is displayed in a running line, below - the name of the folder, and even lower - the track number and their total number.
The icons on the display are quite small, and we strongly do not recommend understanding them while the car is moving.
Ritmix FMT-A765 control buttons are located on the top of the device. There are only five of them, they are large and comfortable, they serve to switch the transmission channel, change the track and turn the playback on and off. The kit also comes with a remote control.
A small mini-jack to mini-jack cable is included in the kit for switching the line output. The line output itself is located on the bottom of the device, next to the slots for memory cards (capacity up to 16 GB is supported). This is not the most convenient layout, because when using USB cards with wide cases, you will not be able to use the connector.

When the Ritmix FMT-A765 is turned on, playback of the recording from the memory card starts immediately.
The buttons on the device are responsible for controlling only the main functions, it is convenient to use them, you can quickly change the frequency or track. The remote control provides more control options. You can quickly set a track, turn on the beginning of the recording or adjust the playback volume, as well as call one of eight equalizer presets. It also allows you to navigate through folders. Their names are reproduced on the display - however, only if they are written in Latin (the FMT-A765 does not understand Cyrillic, although it works with tracks).
The Ritmix FMT-A765 FM transmitter has a fairly powerful transmitter, which makes it easy to fill in on-air stations.
In the playback mode of digital files, when turned off, the device remembers the number of the track being played, but does not remember the position in the track. This may be inconvenient when listening to lengthy sections of audiobooks.

In our hands were three devices from a well-known brand with different functionality, a set of options and prices. Let's try to figure out how each of them will cope with the task of playing music in several different ways. It should be said right away that playing music through an FM transmitter is a kind of compromise for cars that lack modern media systems. The sound quality, firstly, will greatly depend on the level of the radio and acoustics in the car, and secondly, you will have to immediately put up with a muffled “cotton” sound “through an intermediary”. So such a device can hardly be advised to music lovers.

Audio transmission method: USB/AUX
The most accessible and simple test participant. The kit includes only the device itself, no larger than a classic car charger for a smartphone, and a wire for playback via AUX. On the left side of the case are the button for selecting the frequency and start / stop playback, and on the right are the buttons for switching tracks. The desired radio wave is displayed on the miniature screen of the device, but the numbers are easily read, without unnecessary strain on visual functions.
The best sound was when playing using AUX. The sound quality from the “flash drive” turned out to be lower both in terms of sound purity and the presence of extraneous noise. However, when playing using AUX, the “default” volume was almost half as much, even with the maximum volume set on the smartphone. Already a more functional device, which is immediately determined by size. In addition to the wire for AUX, the kit also includes a remote control. The display is much larger and there are two separate USB ports: one for playing music, and the other for charging the phone. To the left of the display are the track selection buttons, the functional button through which you select the frequency, and above them rises the “twist” of the volume level.
We note right away that the convenience of using this device depends on the location of your cigarette lighter. In the case of our test car, where the hole is located close to the passenger seat, the only way to insert the device was to ensure that the display was always upside down for the driver. However, in this case, this problem is leveled by the presence of a remote control. The input for USB and SD are located just below the main working surface of the device. Separately, we note a very convenient swivel mount for the cigarette lighter, thanks to which you can adjust the position of the main part of the device.
This unit also played best audio recordings using a wire. The sound was clear, without interference. The same recordings from USB and SD were played a little quieter and seemed to be less saturated, with a lot of “cotton” effect, but still remained within decent audibility.
Note that the device does not offer a choice of playback source - what will be played last was inserted into the transmitter.

The most sophisticated participant in our test with four ways to play audio. In addition, the device can be used as Hands Free. In terms of functionality and appearance, it almost completely copies the FMT-A780: the same two USB connectors, a decent-sized display, track switching buttons, start/stop, and a red frequency selection button on the side panel. In the kit, in addition to the device itself, you can find a wire for AUX and remote control bullets. The flexible "leg" also allows you to insert the device at almost any angle.
In this device, almost all options for playing music showed approximately one very good level of playback, comparable to the A780 model. However, the Bluetooth connection still loses to the "direct" connectors - the double connection "over the air" affects. In addition, interference began to wedge in - depending on the area of \u200b\u200btraffic, the sound quality changed.
What is the outcome?
Given the cost, we can say that all devices performed well. Each has its own advantages, but the main thing is that they all reproduce music quite decently in the proposed ways. Our personal choice is the A780 model, which strikes the right balance between price and features, given the nuances of the wireless connection of the A775 transmitter.
It is also worth paying attention to the fact that the frequency of a free radio wave must be chosen as far as possible from any radio stations, otherwise the latter may begin to wedged into the air. Transmitters do not have filters. In general, the choice depends entirely on your preferences and the set of functionality you need.
