How to drink a martini? Variations of Martini cocktails. What do the main types of martinis drink with: how to serve the drink correctly

The most famous vermouth is enjoyed not only in its pure form. It is included in hundreds of cocktails, simple and complex, so that bartenders around the world quite rightly call it “the king of nightlife.” Well, we propose to get into the spirit of drinking this noble alcohol and consider what drinks Martini is combined with: what to mix with, how to dilute it correctly, and the like. Apply such useful knowledge in practice, and the rich bouquet of the most famous “wormwood wine” will sparkle even brighter and surprise you with new facets of its unique taste.

You can select a variety of pairings, both alcoholic and not. First, we will list the basic combinations, and then we will tell you about the little secrets that help make each combination ideal.

Here's what martinis get in the way of in general:

  • —Vodka— ( , —whiskey—) – the rich herbal taste of vermouth organically complements the strength. An ideal option for cocktails with a masculine character - rich, powerful, interesting - James Bond won't let you lie.
  • —Champagne— – the combination turns out to be playful in every sense. The taste is very pleasant, easy to drink, but, be careful, it gives a very noticeable effect! Therefore, it cannot be considered exclusively female.
  • Juice- a classic pairing and simply a huge field for experimentation, because there is something to interfere with. With the right choice (which we will discuss in detail below), you will get a wonderfully illuminating drink with pleasant tart notes of herbal wine.
  • Mineral water– a very “smart” addition. By properly diluting, you will preserve the unique organoleptic characteristics of the alcohol, but at the same time make it less strong, and therefore prolong the pleasure of emptying the bottle.
  • Tea- an exotic option for us, but very popular in many European countries. Served chilled, it becomes a real salvation in the heat, as it refreshes and tones.

It is important not only to choose the drink accurately, but also to pour it correctly. Naturally, such an elite vermouth will reveal all its feelings only if the proportions are properly maintained and other nuances are observed, which we are moving on to consider right now.

How to properly breed Martini

  • The cocktail temperature should be at 10-15 degrees, then the “wormwood wine” plays with its colors most fully. Keep this in mind when adding a colder or warmer drink, as well as ice, which is present in many recipes.
  • When you need not to stir in a shaker, but rather to dilute it, first pour the Martini into the glass and only then another drink. This nuance is relevant for vodka, champagne, and mineral water.

  • The stronger the “dilution”, the more important its role in the cocktail (in general). For example, there should be 4 times more gin in a glass than vermouth, which acts as an interesting background. But mineral water, on the contrary, needs to be poured in an amount of 1/4 of the volume of alcohol so that the alcohol is felt clearly and brightly.
  • When adding juice, it is important to enhance the flavor of a particular type of Martini. Playing with contrast is inappropriate in this case, as it can lead to far from the most harmonious combinations.

We suggest continuing with the “juicy” topic. Let's see what kind of pairs can be made with this or that type of “wormwood wine”.

What juice do you drink Martini Bianco with?

White Italian vermouth is distinguished by its comparative softness of taste: with every sip you can feel herbal notes and sweetish-delicate vanilla. It does not have a rich fruit and berry component, but the aroma has a trail of spices, in particular cinnamon and nutmeg.

  • citric– its sourness perfectly balances the inherent sweetness of alcohol;
  • orange– a pronounced citrus taste harmonizes elegantly with the spicy aroma of vermouth;
  • pineapple– tropical notes will provide an interesting flavor (but this is an option for those who are not afraid of cloying);
  • grapefruit– will make the taste intriguing, this is the closest option to contrasting.

As an exotic option, you can try the combination with kiwi, just remember that the juice with Martini needs to be mixed in a 1 to 1 ratio, so you will have to squeeze out a fairly large amount of tropical fruits. By the way, if you add fresh juice, keep in mind that in undiluted form it can irritate the gastric mucosa (especially lemon, lime, or other sour), so also add mineral water or tonic - again, in an amount of 1/4 of the total volume.

If you have juice with pulp, it is also quite acceptable to mix it with Martini, but only if you are making a cocktail for yourself. If you are preparing a drink for guests, ask in advance how they feel about such experiments. Because the taste and aroma of alcohol will not change due to the presence of pulp, but the appearance of the contents of the glass may not seem very neat to someone.

Martini Bianco and gin and vodka

It's time to move on to stronger cocktails, especially since they are popular all over the world. For example, combining Martini with gin - this is the combination that was introduced into fashion by the British and picked up by the Americans. Men liked the tart pairing of wormwood and juniper, enhanced by the strength of the degrees, complemented by freshness and seasoned with some piquant note.

This is how the Dry Martini, a cocktail invented in New York back in 1912, has survived to this day, albeit with changes. In its modern version:

  • 15 ml must be mixed in a shaker with 75 ml of gin;
  • pour into a glass filled with ice cubes to the 300 ml mark;
  • garnish with olive or onion.

James Bond (or rather, its creator, Ian Fleming) proposed his own, more elite version. The recipe is as follows: 1 part vodka to 3 gin, 1/2 white vermouth and 6-8 ice. By the way, instead of Bianco, the agent ordered Kina Lillet, but over time they began to produce less alcohol from the bark of the cinchona tree, they began to follow the rules less strictly and began to mix it with a more common drink. 007 named his find “Vesper”, in honor of the girl he fell in love with, but that’s a completely different story, told in “Casino Royale”.

What else can you dilute Martini Bianco with is vodka, which has become much more popular than gin. Why? Because some people liked the combination of juniper and wormwood, but for others it was too tart, so bartenders began to experiment.

So in America in the 50s of the twentieth century, “Vodkatini” appeared - a cocktail that is still popular to this day, for the preparation of which you need:

  • pour 6-8 ice cubes into a shaker and pour in 15 ml of Bianco;
  • stir it all with the back of a spoon for 8-10 seconds;
  • pour in 70 ml of pre-chilled vodka;
  • mix the contents of the shaker again in the same way and for the same time;
  • pour the resulting drink through a strainer into a cocktail glass;
  • garnish with olive (onion) or lemon zest (lime wedge).

You should drink Vodkatini in small sips, appreciating the power of its taste and the attractiveness of the pure notes of wormwood and citrus. Now let's get back to less strong additives and other types of famous Italian alcohol.

What juice should you drink Martini Rosso with?

Red vermouth makes you fall in love with its sweet background, spicy bitterness and caramel notes. It is important not to lose this uniqueness, but to emphasize it and enrich, expand and refresh it. Therefore, the best juices for are:

  • cherry– it will organically deepen the richness of the original taste of alcohol;
  • pomegranate– astringent notes will be an excellent final chord;
  • apple– its light summer sourness is wonderfully refreshing.

The proportions for adding juice are the same as in the case of white vermouth, that is, 1 to 1. And with the pulp it’s the same story: add if you or the guests you are treating like it.

Rosato, that is, a pink Martini, can be safely mixed with richly sweet juices, such as peach or apricot. Just be prepared for the fact that this is almost a liqueur version with a not so pronounced alcoholic aftertaste, but still for those who like sugary flavors.

Martini Rosso and whiskey with champagne

It is with red vermouth that the iconic Manhattan cocktail for the United States is prepared according to the following recipe:

  • pour 150 ml of ice into a shaker, pour in 30 ml Martini Rosso, 60 ml and 2 ml (Venezuelan bitter);
  • mix everything for 6-8 seconds;
  • pour the contents of the shaker into a glass through a strainer;
  • add a cherry for decoration, insert a straw.

It turns out to be very bright in taste, pleasant enough to please women, and quite strong to be appreciated by men. It’s not for nothing that it has become a classic in sophisticated America.

What else can be diluted with Martini Rosso is champagne; such an alcoholic combination will be rich in organoleptic impressions. Carbonated bubbles will provide an interesting structure, the difference in degrees will make the drink intoxicating. As an example, here is a recipe for the Strawberry Champatini cocktail, for the preparation of which you need:

  • pour 100 g of ice (cubes) into a glass;
  • successively pour in 100 ml of Martini Rosso, then 150 ml of semi-sweet or sweet champagne, then 30 ml of strawberry syrup;
  • Serve without stirring and garnish with a slice of lime or lemon.

There are still a lot of options, and the same green tea with ginger will become the basis for an excellent refreshing drink. So experiment, look for new favorite combinations, but when you stir, do not forget that even the most delicious Martini is alcohol, the consumption of which should not be overly carried away.

Spicy-herbal base

The basis of any vermouth, which includes Martini, is Alpine wormwood. Its share of the remaining components can be 50%.

In addition to wormwood, when making a certain type of Martini, the manufacturer uses several dozen of a wide variety of herbs and spices, and sometimes this amount reaches a hundred.

Depending on the type of Martini, it contains the following additives:

  • yarrow from 18 to 20%,
  • mint from 9 to 11%,
  • cinnamon about 10.7% cardamom,
  • black elderberry 5%,
  • nutmeg 3%.

There will be several dozen other ingredients in smaller quantities. This

  1. juniper,
  2. coriander,
  3. immortelle,
  4. ginger,
  5. St. John's wort,
  6. fraxinella,
  7. chamomile,
  8. angelica,
  9. Melissa,
  10. oregano

Herbs enrich the drink with special aromatic and flavor notes, making it brighter and more fragrant, as well as imparting a pleasant tartness. But no winemaker will reveal his secret about at what stage, in what sequence, the herbs are added to Martini. Since it is the ability to combine plants that allows you to obtain the unique tastes of this drink.

How the versatility of taste is created

  • The bitterness in Martini can be not only due to wormwood, but it is imparted by the following ingredients: oakberry, horehound, cinchona bark, tansy.
  • Lemon wormwood, lemon balm, and catnip are responsible for the citrus taste. Immortelle, juniper berries, rosemary, and St. John's wort will add some hint of resinity.
  • Elderflower flowers, lemon zest, and coriander will add a nutmeg scent to the drink.
  • To combine all the aromas into one harmonious composition, chamomile, clove, and iris infusions are used in production.
  • And to consolidate this composition, cardamom, vanilla, and calamus extracts are used.

All components are dried, crushed to a powder, and infused on a water-alcohol base in special rotating vats. This stage continues for twenty days. When all the substances are completely dissolved in each other, creating the required wine bouquet, the drink is purified and filtered.

Then sugar is added to improve the taste and alcohol so that the resins dissolve better. Next, the drink is cooled to -5 degrees and filtered again. Over the course of a week, the temperature is gradually raised to room temperature.

How to drink Martini Rosso

The bright red color of Martini Rosso and the dizzying sweet aroma never cease to attract customers. But not everyone knows how to drink this drink correctly:

  • Martini Rosso is usually served in a glass with a triangular bowl on a thin long stem, sometimes with or without a straw.
  • Like other alcoholic drinks and aperitifs, it is advisable to cool it to a temperature of 10-13 degrees Celsius before drinking. However, you should not overdo it, because at low temperatures the drink will lose its true taste and unique sweet aroma.
  • When it is not possible to cool the rosso in the refrigerator, you can add an ice cube or frozen berries (strawberries, cherries, currants) to the glasses. Citrus slices and olives are perfect for decorating a glass.

  • If you want to properly dilute the drink so as not to get drunk quickly and emphasize the taste, you can add soda, lemon and grapefruit juices to the drink. Fans of strong alcoholic drinks mix rosso with vodka or gin.
  • Classic snacks include crackers, nuts, hard cheeses, nuts, and olives. It is not recommended to serve chocolate and caramel, as the drink itself has some sugary notes.

Supply temperature

It is very important not to overcool the drink, as the herbal bitterness present in it will reveal itself in a very unpleasant way. It would be ideal to put the bottle in the refrigerator literally half an hour before serving the Martini.

If you don’t take risks, you can add 2-3 cubes directly to the glass of the drink.

Glasses for Martini Rosso

In fact, this is no longer such a strict rule. Rather, it is a wish dictated by etiquette. Men are most often served Martini Rosso in a glass with several sides, but women drink from a classic martini glass.

This is the same one that James Bond picked up or picked up in the famous shot from the film “The Great Gatsby” by Leonardo DiCaprio.

As you can see, men can also hold this kind of glasses in their strong hands. True, this can be explained by the fact that the same Bond drank Martini Bianco.

When to drink

Martini Rosso can be served both as an aperitif (before a meal) and as an accompaniment to the entire party. It is usually not served as “dessert”.

Usually they drink Martini Rosso slowly, in small sips. You know, such an ideal drink for imposingly strolling around a room filled with guests.

What do you drink Martini Rosso with?

Ice and fruit are sometimes added to sweet red vermouth. Often consumed with juice, although there are no rules on how to properly drink rosso with juice. You can drink it with any juice, however, cherry juice is most suitable.

Snacks are rarely served, preference is given to:

  1. Hard cheeses.
  2. Meat dishes.
  3. Saltine crackers.
  4. Olives.

If you ask Italian cellar masters what they drink Martini Rosso with, they will answer that just a glass of Martini Rosso is enough to enjoy. Under no circumstances, do not tell them about the way to drink martinis with juice.

This is considered almost a mortal sin. No types of citrus fruits, chocolate, or products with the scent of vanilla, mint and cinnamon are not combined with red Rosso.

The same applies to canned foods; their sharp taste will immediately overwhelm the aroma of the drink itself. Fish and fish products can greatly distort the aroma and taste of Rosso.

How to dilute a martini

The main advantage of the drink is the fact that it can be drunk not only in its pure form, but also as part of cocktails (alcoholic, non-alcoholic).

Let's consider how to properly dilute vermouth so as not to spoil the delicate taste.

Drinks compatible with martinis:

Mineral water

Cool it before adding it. The optimal ratio of water to martini is 1: 3. Mineral water can be added to all types of vermouth, and the aroma and taste of the drink will hardly change. Water will reduce the strength of alcoholic drinks and eliminate excess sweetness.

Genie and Sprite

In the first case, the drink will increase the strength of the martini and enrich it with notes of plant spices (orris root, almonds, juniper berries, coriander). In the second, it will complement the harmonious taste of vermouth with hints of lime and lemon, and reduce the alcohol content.

In both cases, when mixing drinks, observe the following proportions: 1 part gin (Sprite) and 2 parts martini. To prepare a cooling cocktail, it is recommended to additionally add a slice of lemon and a handful of ice.

Juice

  • Give preference to sour fresh juices (pomegranate, cherry, citrus).
  • Proportions depend on individual preferences. It is recommended to combine red varieties of Martini (Rosato, Rose, Rosso) with cherry, pomegranate juice, and straw Bianco with lemon, pineapple or orange.
  • The classic option for diluting alcohol with a fruit drink is 1:1.
  • At the same time, you can make juice mixes that diversify the taste of the martini.

It is preferable to use freshly squeezed juices; if this is not possible, store-bought fresh juices containing a minimum of sugar are suitable. Before preparing a fruit-alcoholic cocktail, cool the martini to 12 degrees Celsius. Do not add ice cubes to vermouth as they will detract from the flavor of the drink.

Recently, it has been fashionable to dilute martinis with sweet juices and nectars (peach, mango). The end result is a honeyed and sugary cocktail, which not all people like.

In the classic version, vermouth is diluted with sour juices.

Vodka

This legendary combination gained worldwide popularity thanks to agent 007 James Bond, who mixed alcoholic drinks into a single strong cocktail.

Vodkatini first appeared in the late 50s of the 20th century in America. The name of the author of the recipe is unknown. To properly prepare the cocktail, martini is mixed with vodka in a ratio of 1: 4.5, respectively. To cool the drink and minimally reduce the strength, add 7 pieces of ice.

Before serving, “Vodkatini” is decorated with lemon zest and an olive on a toothpick or green olives.

Black tea

The brewing imparts the characteristic astringency of the martini, due to which the fullness of taste is revealed. The ratio of vermouth to cold strong tea is 2:1. To enhance the taste, add 5 milliliters of lemon juice to the drink.

The cocktail is served chilled.

The history of the drink, known since the 19th century

Since the beginning of the 19th century, Italy has been a leading center for the production of all types of alcoholic beverages, including liqueurs and aperitifs. By the 18th century, herbal and blended wines had become popular and were consumed as single drinks and in cocktails. Wine and aperitif producers began to develop original mixtures. This is what vermouth is like.

Martini rosso is characterized as a mixture of wine with bitters, sugar, herbs, spices, fruits and other ingredients, and became very popular as an aperitif at the turn of the 19th century.

It is worth recalling that vermouth became a specialty of the Piedmont region, and especially Turin, the drink becoming very important for the economy of the region in the first decades of the century. In 1840, King Carlo Alberto called for the creation of a register of certified vermouth producers in the region surrounding Turin. In 1850, Alessandro Martini, a commercial agent, rented and operated a small wine cellar in Turin, acquired from the Anelli family (later known as Fiat) in 1830.

Joining the company were Teofilo Sola, who later became the company's accountant, and Luigi Rossi, who played a major role in the company's lasting success. Rossi combined his knowledge of winemaking with his talent as an herbalist and began developing his own vermouth recipe.

The success of this recipe in the early 1850s placed the company among the leading producers of alcoholic beverages, and Rossi became one of the company's directors at the end of the decade. The following year, the company moved its production and headquarters to the village of Pessione di Cheri, which is located exactly on the new railway connecting Turin with the port of Genoa.

This access to shipping routes linking Italy with the rest of the world prompted the company to try to bring the vermouth recipe to the international market.

Useful properties of martini

Plant components, which are the basis for the production of martinis, have a positive effect on the body. The healing properties of a drink infused with herbs were discovered by the ancient thinker Hippocrates.

The therapeutic effect of drinking martini is possible only when consumed in small doses - no more than 50 ml per day.

  1. It is used to treat stomach diseases associated with low secretion of gastric juice, intestines and bile ducts.
  2. Martini, due to the wormwood extract it contains, stimulates the production of bile, cleanses it and normalizes the enzyme composition.
  3. To prevent and treat colds, you should drink a martini heated to 50°C with honey and aloe. To prepare the mixture, you need to heat the martini (100 ml), add honey (2 tbsp) and crushed aloe (2 large leaves). Mix everything thoroughly. At the first signs of illness, take 1 tbsp. l. 2-3 times a day half an hour before meals.
  4. For angina pectoris and hypertension, you can prepare a motherwort tincture in a martini. To do this, fresh herbs should be washed in cold water, dried, ground in a blender and squeezed out the juice through cheesecloth. Mix the resulting volume of juice with the same amount of martini and leave for a day. During this time, all the beneficial substances of motherwort dissolve in alcohol. You need to take the tincture 25-30 drops diluted with 2 tbsp. l. water 2 times a day.
  5. As a general tonic, you can prepare elecampane tincture. To do this, fresh elecampane root (20 g) must be washed to remove impurities, crushed and boiled in water (100 ml). Then mix with martini (300 g) and let it brew for two days. Use the finished tincture 50 ml 2 times a day.

When it comes to drinking alcohol, the question always arises about the culture of drinking it. After all, not everyone knows how, when and how much to drink this or that drink. This also applies to martinis, which some people unknowingly even classify as a separate group of alcoholic drinks. So, now we will tell you about how to drink martini correctly.

Rule one. Place and time. To appreciate all the nobility of a martini, you must create the appropriate atmosphere. The process should take place without haste and fuss. But this doesn't mean you should be sad. On the contrary, this drink creates a holiday. For example, its presence will add spice and enliven a cocktail party with friends, or add a special charm to a romantic evening with your loved one.

Rule two. Dishes. You will not be able to fully enjoy and enjoy your martini if you do not use special glasses to drink it. Their shape is easy to recognize - it is a cone on a long and thin stem. If trouble happens and you don’t have suitable glasses at hand, then the most correct decision would be to take wide and not tall glasses. But under no circumstances use other glasses, or, even worse, glasses. This is considered a sign of bad taste.

Rule three. Preparing the drink. You need to prepare in advance for an event such as drinking a martini. In addition to the festive table setting, alcohol should be cooled to 10-12 degrees and ice should be frozen in advance.

Rule four. The process of drinking. So, a glass of martini is in your hand, and the party is in full swing. Remember that the main thing in a martini is pleasure, which, as they say, needs to be stretched out. Therefore, drink the drink slowly, taking small leisurely sips, savor it. If you have chosen a martini-based cocktail, then it’s time to use a straw. This method of drinking was especially loved by ladies. So we have given you the answer to the question: how to drink a martini correctly.

Rule five. Snacks. Most often, martinis are sipped “solo”, that is, without snacking on anything. But if you drink it “neat”, and not in a cocktail version, then olives, lemon slices, fruits, berries, or onions will be a worthy garnish for it. Here everything directly depends on personal preferences and what kind of martini you chose. This issue is perhaps worth dwelling on in more detail.

What to drink a martini with

Knowing what to drink a martini with will prevent you from being branded as having bad taste or as a person unworthy of high society.

The main point that should not be forgotten when placing Martini at the head of the table is that it does not tolerate standard “vodka” snacks. It is not drunk with jellied meat or with smoked fish. Snacks should be light and unobtrusive.

As for fruit, you can serve chilled pieces of peaches or citrus fruits, among which berries will casually lie.

But you can limit yourself to just a variety of juices. But there are rules here.

How to drink a martini with juice

Firstly, juices served with martinis should be freshly squeezed and chilled, and not poured into a decanter from a tetra bag.

Secondly, the best juices for this purpose will be orange, grapefruit, cherry and pomegranate juices, that is, with a minimum sugar content. But don’t even think about serving peach juice, apple juice or a “multivitamin” with your martini; they are simply contraindicated for such cocktails.

Thirdly, alcohol is not washed down with juice, but mixed with it. Add 1 part juice to 2 parts martini. If ice is involved in this process, then alcohol, juice and ice are taken in equal parts.

Now you know how to drink martinis with juice. However, varieties of this alcohol have their own taste, and therefore their own ways of drinking and their own snacks.

How to drink Martini Bianco

Martini Bianco is an alcoholic drink loved by millions and highly valued by bartenders. It is from this that most of the finest cocktails are made. Its taste goes well with many drinks, sometimes even extremely unexpected ones. These can be lemonades and tonics, coffee and cream, various juices, vodka and even tequila. It goes perfectly with chocolate, olives, lemon and onions. Ice and pieces of fruit such as pineapple, kiwi, and strawberries are added to it.

If you decide to experiment with onions, then know that you should not “extract” juice from them. You just need to put a slice in a glass and take it out after 2-3 minutes. If you like the taste, you will never drink Martini any other way.

How to drink Martini Rosso

Regarding this martini, women and men have their own differences. Ladies prefer to use cherry or orange juice as an addition to it, while men mix it with vodka and snack with lemon. This is exactly how James Bond loved him.

It goes without saying that the above two types of martinis are not its entire range. However, Martini Rosato (pink) and Martini Extra Dry (dry) are drunk according to the same rules and with the same snacks and juices that we have already named for you.

However, pink martini is most often made into cocktails with the addition of lemon, while the dry one is mostly drunk separately from everything else and without ice. If you decide to experiment, then remember that a special shade of Martini Extra Dry will be given by pear juice or gin, which you take 2/3 of a glass. In this case, an olive or lemon wedge would be appropriate for a snack.

The most ardent fans of martinis are women. They love the drink for its exquisite taste, which combines light bitterness and not cloying sweetness. A magical aftertaste remains for a long time. What kind of drink is this? A common but erroneous opinion: this is a separate subtype of alcoholic beverages. In fact this is - vermouth prepared according to a special recipe.

The word "vermouth" translated from German means "sagebrush". It is this wormwood bitterness that we feel when sipping a martini. Manufacturers play up the bitterness, minimizing it and diluting it with spices and sugar - the result is an aromatic alcohol.

  • vermouth (whatever you have on hand, 30 ml);
  • lemon juice (30 ml);
  • 3 cups lemon peel.

Place ice and peel at the bottom of the glass and fill them with all the indicated liquids. Of course, this is not a real martini, but the drink tastes good. Guests will not be dissatisfied.

Cocktails

Martini is drunk both in pure form and using it to make cocktails. Such cocktails give a slight intoxication and are pleasant to the taste. And if you add strong alcohol, you get James Bond's favorite drink - vodka martini. Recipe:

  • (2 parts);
  • martini (1 part).

The secret lies in the cooking process itself. Throw ice at the bottom of the glass and fill with alcohol. Mix. Pour in vodka and stir vigorously. The drink is served freshly prepared. After standing, it loses its edge.

Other martini cocktails:

  1. Vermouth and champagne. Take Martini Bianco and sparkling wine (100 g of each drink), lime or lemon juice (20 ml), a lemon wedge, a couple of ice cubes. Ice, juice and vermouth are the first to enter the glass, and then . The finishing touch is a slice of lemon placed on the side of the glass. Adding a sprig of mint will improve the taste of the drink.
  2. Cocktail with syrup prepared from Rosso martini. Place ice cubes in the glass to fill it by a third. Pour martini, then champagne in equal parts. Add 30 ml of strawberry syrup. Don't mix the drink! This eliminates half of its taste.
  3. Juice with Martini “Bianco”. Choose juice to taste (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, cherry) and mix with martini and ice in a cone-shaped glass that expands from the bottom up. You can dilute vermouth with juices as you like. It depends on whether a person prefers weak or stronger alcoholic drinks.

What to serve with?
